Change the world

Tourism Management

Tourism students were asked to write narratives of their tourist experience in any tourism destination on the African continent. Here are some of their stories.

“What makes you African?”

All Tourism Students are invited to wear their traditional African attire to campus on Africa Day, which is celebrated on the 25th of May every year.

The Tourism Society will place a Africa Day poster on the Tourism Department’s notice board on Second Avenue Campus, as well as in front of the International Office on South Campus, where Tourism students are encouraged to either sign the poster or to write a short message on “What makes you African?”

Students can send photos of themselves dressed in their traditional African attire to Ms Bianca Jansen van Rensburg  (Bianca.JansenVanRensburg3@nmmu.ac.za), who will place all the photos received on the Tourism Department’s website.
